Good Rockin' Tonight made it's first broadcast from the Ross Revenge on Friday,
13th August, 2004. Roy, Jan, Dell and Karen were all excited at the prospect when they boarded the ship for the first time. |
John Fisher was also there for the first night. What's wrong with the gangway, John? |
Dell in the studio. |
John Fisher soon found the Record Library, to try to find some more for his collection. |
The Belvadares visited the Ross Revenge on Friday, August 20th. They played some tracks from their new CD "Moondance Party" on Fury Records, which features Albert Lee as a special guest. (from left to right) Rob (double bass), Tracy (vocals), Mike (drums), Dell, Shaun (lead guitar), Roy, Chris (bass guitar), and Jan. |
Tracy and Shaun in the studio, with Dell. Space is very tight in the studio on the Ross Revenge, so Tracy had to sit on Dell's knee for the interview. Any excuse!! There's a load more photos of their visit to the Ross Revenge on their website, Click Here Thanks to the Belvadares for the photos. |
Mick Satan was due to be the special guest for Dell's last show from the Ross
Revenge on 3rd September. He made it to the dockside, but because of his walking difficulties, it was thought that he shouldn't attempt to climb aboard. He was Dell's special guest in Maidstone on October 15th. Dell, Mick Satan, Roy, Jan and Dave Foster. |
There is a webcam in the Ross Revenge studio. Here are a couple we captured. Dell, Jan and John Fisher. |

Sponsorship is an important part of keeping Radio Caroline afloat. Our thanks to ASDA and all the other sponsors who helped with the 2004 broadcasts from the Ross Revenge. |
Jan on a mobile phone, on deck. He said it was the only place he could get a signal, but maybe he was banished because of his 'personal problem'! |
Roy in studio 2, checking the emails. Some of the original cartridge machines, the mixer and record decks can be seen here. |
Here is some of the original equipment racks. |
Terry has been interested in Offshore Radio since the sixties, when he was a
member of the Downliners Sect. In those days, the BBC was the only land-based
radio station in the UK, and bands like the Downliners Sect received very
little airplay. The pirate ships, and especially Radio Caroline, were
instrumental in starting the 'Beat Boom' of the mid-sixties. Visit the TT's_Website for loads of nostalgia. |
Terry thoroughly enjoyed his visit to the Ross Revenge. You can also have a guided tour of the Ross Revenge. Visit www.rossrevenge.co.uk for more information. |
